Hi Newdawning and welcome! I cant even begin to explain what discovering SR has done for me. You'll soon discover support, empathy, inspiration 24/7. Honestly.
I know it's tough for you right now so please feel free to post as much as you need to. There's always someone around to offload to or maybe give you a little kick up the behind too! A massive array of different people but with one aim in common. To get rid of that nasty poison out of our lives for good.

Just wanted to say 'hi' and welcome. I'm glad you found this site. Much of the strength I needed early on I found here reading about other people's experience. It is a Godsend. Take care.

Hi NewDawning , Welcome to SR . You will always find support here no matter day or night . I learned that its the fear of letting that last bit of alcohol go that makes you hang on to it . Once you tip it out you wont think about it as its gone and start to feel better .

This site, along with AA has been an amazing support for me for the last few years. Please stick around and keep reading a posting. There is also a 12-step area that you might utilise.
Do you think you could start an AA meeting on your island? I'm sure that central office in your nearest country would be happy to help.
