Happy SOBER Saturday team!
If you woke not clear or sober then you have this day and this moment to make different choices. You can. Look at all who are here with sober time.
Feeling a bit plump today. Diet needs to be hit hard. Man, just a pound or two makes all the difference. :|
Have a great day all and see you later.

As Weasel says, I hope you all got through Friday OK.
I am west of my usual manor or 'hood but this is still central London an offshoot of the canal that looks like it is in the countryside.

Happy Sober Saturday everyone!
Sao, I am so grateful for you starting this thread every week and completely understand that you feel it's time to step down from being the starter. I haven't been here lately partly because I believe I've tipped the recovery scales of balance a bit (in the wrong direction). My entire Sunday is recovery based work. This is not necessarily a bad thing but in consideration, it leaves me one day on the weekend for down time. Spontaneous chances for relaxation where I can do what I choose, which is a true gift once you get past the possibility of making the wrong choice. Well, Saturday is also chores day. Groceries and cleaning. So, I've got to regroup. When the weekends are so full and Monday comes where you feel like you still have your back leg in Friday life might just be a bit too full?
I've also been riding a little wave of self pity from the break in, although that's been hard to admit. I always try to be positive. Still, sometimes you get handed exactly what you need. This morning I read a story in the news of a man who was reunited with his dog that was stolen out of his yard two years ago. I now sit here and count my blessings. If anything happened to my kitties that day. Oh boy, perish the thought. Stuff is just stuff. Sentiment truly lies in the heart and not in tangible objects. No one can steal that.
Anyway, so glad I stopped in and see all the familiar faces and the new ones.
SAH, I read your early posts in this thread and I feel the light surrounding you. Then, later, I see that darkness trying so hard to steal that away from you, Don't let it. Hang on to that light sister, you can do this!
Again, so good to see everyone! Off to get all the chore business out of the way so I can experience whatever joy I choose that the rest of the day brings,

Good morning all, hope your Saturday is full of blessings. I'll be seeing my aunt and uncle off today at the airport. They are returning back to thier home in the UK. It's been wonderfull having them here.
Another sober Saturday.
I have so enjoyed seeing the names from the old thread pop up, but I understand that life goes on and we aren't still that jangly ball of nerves like in the early days of sobriety - looking for solace and escape. Many of the names on this thread got sober years ago but all of us have a soft spot for Weekenders.
I hope we can figure out a way to keep it going with the people that obviously still check in but don't want the commitment to reply to every post. There must be a happy medium. Not sure we are the group demographic to be all about balance, (lol, I'm looking at you , LadyBlue) but hopefully we'll work on keeping this going.
If you're newly sober or just thinking about it - jump in. Make the announcement and then back it up! "I don't drink/use," is the best thing you can say for yourself if you are still in the swamp up to your armpits in alligators.
No more hangovers. Best thing ever. Coffee and breakfast and a full Saturday to enjoy however you want.

I second that biminiblue.
I was in the West End of London for a change today. This Soho Square and that building is faux Tudor at its worst, it is a gardeners storage shed built in 1925.

Greetings Enders!!
And happy Saturday!
And Happy Autumn!!! My absolute favorite time of year!!
A little sunny out today....blue skies make me blue...but the temp is fine.
Going to try and do some declutter puttering, then going to a hockey game this evening. Beans and ham bone cooking slowly on top of the stove for a week full of meals.
Feels like a Weekender Reunion here!!
Maybe we should review the lists of 'Most Likely to.....'

Just been label reading..... apparently mayonnaise and tomato ketchup have spirit vinegar in. Which derive from alcohol 😐
Can I ask for people's opinions please?
My can't eat food list is growing what with food intolerance as well as alcohol being in the ingredients 😥.
Hugs xx

I will never tire of a hangover free Sunday morning supported by a delicious breakfast cooked by someone else. Why did I not learn that 30 years previously?
The NFL are in town today, Baltimore v Jacksonville. Even on the east side of town I have seen a lot of purple shirts with Suggs 55 on them.
