I know how hard it must feel right now. You're breaking the cycle, making the change. It's a challenge but it's not impossible. Just do what ever it takes (order some takeout, go for a walk, watch Netflix, call a friend, anything) to get through the night without drinking. You can do this!

Awesome work so far. Get to an AA meeting or phone a friend. Go sit somewhere that would be really awkward to drink. Don't walk, ride, or drive near a bar, liquor store or any place that sells booze. You can do this.

Hi Bev. I'm glad you made it through. We say it all the time, but it is true - the fog will lift, the anxiety will lessen, the sun will come out again. Better days lie ahead. This never has to happen again.

Excellent news! Distractions have definitely helped me too🍕. Good luck Bev😀

If you can, go to a walk in clinic, call in sick tomorrow. Seizures don't discriminate, you can be 20 or 70, male or female, but you don't have to quit cold turkey, it is playing with fire. Also, benzos will speed up the process and get you some rest.
Then seek treatment.
On my first appoitment the medical nurse actually told us if we had been drinking to keep on as to prevent a seizure and on our next individual appoitment they would detox us and go forth from there. They really play it safe or safest those people.
I would actually recommend not to drink but get into a clinic for a week prescription and then take it from there wih support and treatment.

Ah. A little too late. In any case, you may be in the clear from the worst of it but I hope you do seek support after as not to put yourself through that hell again.
