Monday morning, hungover at work

I am so grateful that, after 3 weeks sober (including two weeks vacation working on recovery) that returning to work on Monday was smooth and anxiety free.

I'll always make sure to remember the horror of going to work Monday after a weekend (or longer) binge- tired, anxious, shaky, hungover, paranoid. I never want to go back to that hell again.

Have a wonderful sober day everyone!

The best thing I can do to maintain my sobriety is never forget how bad things got...

Yes what a difference going to work feeling relatively fresh .
I worked nights for years in a bakery starting sunday night 10pm and hoestly dont know how I got away with it . As my drinking progressed I started taking Sunday night off or if I did go in I would have a drink at work . Horrible way to live .
Well done on your sobriety .

I haven't made it through to many weekends recently, but there was always a sense of pride when I did. Congratulations. Enjoy your day.

Well done! I totally agree, waking up with a hangover and going to work is the absolute pits. I cherish every sober, fresh morning I woken up with. I dont know how I did it for so long!

Every time my AV suggests that drinking would be fun and amazing I immediately recall those horrendous feelings you mention...and it's enough to put my AV back in it's box!!!!!
