Movies???

Anyone have any good suggestions for recovery related movies? I would like to see something about someone going through the same thing as us, trying to get and stay sober...none of this depressing stuff like"Leaving Las Vegas", and none of that junk where they glamorize drugs and drinking....I just don't find it amusing to watch people get plastered anymore.

Clean and Sober.
(with Michael Keaton)

28 days.
(with Sandra Bullock)

Both very Hollywood. But a positive message.

The above mentioned are great movies. Here is a link with some other great movies about alcohol and addiction.

I'd like to give a second vote for "Clean and Sober." Very well done.

Basketball Diaries is about heroin use, but it still deals with overcoming addiction and has a very positive message.

2 Classics

Two "Oldies but Goodies" that I have watched are:

1. Days of Wine and Roses
2. The Lost Weekend

Good luck,

Jim

When a Man Loves a Woman. I thought that was a really great recovery movie. I need to check out 28 days with Sandra Bullock. Thanks for the list.
