Day 5 on its way out.
Day 5 down.
No thought to drink. Had many offers but turned them down instantly, with no hesitation.
Funny though. I did have a relative start talking about beer and asked me (whilst I was distracted on my phone) "what beer is good quality now days?"
Automatically I responded "welllll you got X and Y..........then a huge pause from me, and I stopped.
I was surprised how quickly I resorted to talking about alcohol without even thinking about it, like an instant reaction, like a enthusiast who chimes in when he's passionate about something.
Just revealed to me how rooted in my brain it is, in my personality. It is still very early though.
I play that image over and over, sitting alone in the kitchen with my wine and beer, and I think to myself "Iam so much better than that, how could I let myself get to that"

well done on day 5 and catching yourself like that.
I was always the go to authority on booze fro friends and family on what drinks were good, not so good, brands and types of booze as well as having a mental log of the % alcohol and units in a lot of drinks.
What a waste of brain space I have taken up with this information over the years.
