6 day bender

I coming off a 6 day bender and am feeling the withdrawals from that. I had a beer to help with the withdrawals but it just makes me nauseous. I feel so guilty for this. I basically drank a fifth of vodka a day amongst others. I am determined more than ever to quit but I'm just in need of support tonight..Thank you.

Welcome to SR danger78 - there a ton of support and good ideas here

If you're feeling poorly or worried about withdrawal I really think seeing a Dr is a better safer bet than drinking beer?

I used to get too ill to drink for a couple of days after a bender. Sick,, full of remorse determined not to drink again. But after a while I began to feel better, didn't really need to quit, forgot the misery, and off I went again.

I didn't seem to have the power to maintain the decision to not drink. I ended d up looking for the power in AA, and never drank again. Without a program I couldn't recover, and most programs or plans tried previously do not work with alcoholics of my type.

Welcome. I've had many benders of varying lengths. They always end the same - with me wondering how I'm going to quit drinking. There's a lot of support here. Glad you're here,

My current attempt at quitting started after a week long bender. I also tapered with beer, and started feeling better after about a week. Now, over two weeks in I feel great. You can do it too.
