Hello - 9 months sober :)
Not posted or visited for a long time and am now (as said) 9 months sober, well 9 months and 6 days, to be precise.
Everytime I sign in, it tells me 'you haven't posted in a while', so I thought I'd give you a quick update.
I stopped drinking and for some reason the stomach pains didn't go away that time. Seems by drinking, I'd been covering up the fact, that I have type 1 diabetes (family curse and nothing to do with alcohol)
Anyhow, I'm fine and doing well with the insulin, but obviously, it's an added incentive to stay sober I guess we never really know, what illnesses we're covering up, until we stop. I'm very lucky that I did stop and they found it.
Well, that's enough from me.
Thanks for reading and keep up the good work x

Thanks NO chance of me going back to it now - even if I wanted to. The alcohol can cause dangerously low blood sugar in Type 1 diabetes and having survived a mad dash to the hospital and 6 days as an in patient, I'd be too terrified of that happening. It's a blessing in disguise
