At least it is Tuesday Sah.

Misty does look like she can stand her ground Vman.

It has been a good day at work, helped mostly by the fact weakness £ sterling. The one downside is that I am going to be stuck at work for a while.

Some days at work are really boring and some days are very entertaining, like today. I work in an office with 4 other women. I arrived this morning and was settling in when my colleague jumped up off her chair screaming. She was going through a patients file and a big spider crawled out. I'm not mad about spiders either but it wasn't in my bedroom so that's ok 😀 Everyone was looking at it and no one wanted to go near it and every one was saying "some one do something!" So I reached for a plastic cup and made an attempt to scoop it up but it was too fast for me.

The office was in an uproar and then my phone rang so I had to answer it. I was trying to hide my laughter and I couldn't tell the person that we were afraid of a spider so I just said "we are a bit excited here as it is somebody's birthday. How can I help you today?"

Our manager chose to walk in at this moment. She knows how to pick her moments!!

We had to tell her there was a spider. She didn't get annoyed, just said "oh good grief", got out a tissue and killed it. The whole thing was hilarious (no really it was. It brightened up an otherwise boring morning!)

Actually it really was my Colleagues birthday today so we got coffee and cake after that!

Colleagues...can't live with them, can't shoot them but they are good for a right laugh all the same

On a sadder note, with two colleagues we went to visit my boss last night.
He's been fighting cancer for the last three years... He's 59.
Prospects dont look too good - its back

Its sad. Funny old life.

Yeah, it will be the equinox on Friday, hey ho.

Sorry about your boss Vman, fingers crossed he can beat it.

I had a homemade brie and avocado doorstep sandwich for lunch which was superb.

There is a Garden Centre on a main road 20 miles or so east of London that puts its Christmas promotions up on October 1st.

I have just seen two very drunk elderly men not far from my flat, they are so vulnerable, it's frightening.

Oh no christmas is coming open season for drinking. I get so depress during the holidays, i need to get a huge plan for it.

Today is day 4 and it was horrible. Honestly the only reason i did not buy wine was because i did not want to have an argument with my husband on top of everything.

I had a meeting at work and i just found out my Director wants to give all my high profile clients to someone else because only people with seniority are allow to have those clients (big ones). I told her thats not fair i want to keep those clients she said you are not selling enough to them and they will be given to people who can develop them.

I said but how about i get help to develop them and keep them because i brought them here(from my old job) and she said you think you are better than everybody else. I can't stop thinking about that. i wanted to cry. every meeting i have with her is just worst and worst, she told me on another meeting that i thought i was doing better than i was actually doing.((What?))

i feel they want to fired me she keeps saying i don't seem happy on the job or with the company and I'm not a team player. she also said there are a lot of changes coming and these changes will affect you. (what????)

i am so down, what is the point to not drink when nothing will be better and i will keep being some sort of a loser.

any advices are welcome, i don't know where to go from here i don't think I'm good for this job or any other. this job has been one of the worst i ever have i feel my bosses hate me and don't want to develop me or help me succeed.

good thing is i did not drink but just made dinner and stuff my face
bad news is i feel awful i can't lose this job but its just awful to go everyday and work in this environment

I wonder if this is my fault let me know what you think

sorry for the drama i just need to talk about this with someone

Morning!

Congratulations on 4 days Soberandhealthy, if you bought those clients with you to this job then you were capable of finding them in the first place. There is nothing worse than going in to a job that you hate Sah so why not discretely look around to see what else is on offer, maybe something that is less pressurized even if it means less money.

Good to see you Trachemys, I'm not sure who Junior is - pics?

SAH, how have your past employers felt about you? If all of your work experiences have been positive, then this job might just be a rotten place to work; but if other bosses have had friction with you, you might want to assess yourself with a more critical eye.

It’s great that you’re still not drinking!

Don’t pick up, no matter how unpleasant things get. For one thing, alcohol’s a waste of money!

Definitely get your resume ready.
