Here's my little tame stray I call Miss Kitty (after Amanda Blake's character on Gunsmoke). I had her spayed so she won't be adding to the stray population. She sleeps in the basement at night where it's warm and dry. She knows she's welcome and walks right in at night.

Morning everyone, it is good of you to look after Miss Kitty least.

Not far from where I live a pooch cafe has opened. I am not sure what that involves, if I get a chance I will have a look at the weekend.

Hi, weekenders.

I am late this weekend . I spent the day at the office yesterday, and I have no Internet there ) And then right to my double workout - boxing +crossfit.

Speaking of boxing. My new trainer pulled my ponytail yesterday. I felt like I was back in junior high school. Just to remind you, I am 40)

Thank you for the Intro, Sao.

When a kid I had a dog. I picked him up in the street. He was about a year old and apparently got lost because he was very well trained. And my, this dog was smart. I know, every owner thinks his pet is the smartest and cutest)

He spent 14 years with us and passed away when I was 22. I was just crashed.

I haven't had any pets since then. But, maybe some day...

It's a great idea to sponsor some pets if there is no opportunity to keep one at home. I think I will look into it.

Congrats on shotgun, Tetra.

Oh, and on the last thread Sao asked me how's my new job going because I had some struggles at first.

It's going better. I am adjusting. Paycheck arrives on time. We'll see.

Ok, I am off to shrink.

See you all later. Have a great Friday!

Good to see you MidnightBlue, glad the job has got better.

Some bad news, I am seeing some reports of a bomb on the London Underground rail network.

I'm in.

Love all the pics - except for yours, Lunar! I may have nightmares tonight about that one.

Thanks Gilmer, thankfully no one appears to have been seriously hurt.

Good to see you Vinny. I once read that snail racing used to be a "thing." Tbh it doesn't sound like the most exciting sport.

Hi Julia - how are you?

hello all ,
hope everyone is set for friday , it's going to happen there might well be cravings , how we going to get through ?
My most simple plan in the beginning was going to bed at 6:30 pm .. people say its boring , well for me boring was fine , i could accept boredom all day and night because i got through .

eventually i wasn't bored because there are other things to do , it wasn't drinking and i was angsty about that but to call it boredom was a misnomer .

Crazy old drunk me eh ? lol

lets all get through , the road is wide and long you might spin out but the weekender carries on and so can you ,

Good point about the early nights mecanix, there is something about going to bed that reduces the cravings even if sleep doesn't come.

Home time here. Crazy Golf is on the agenda for later.

During the US Civil War, the desolate prisoners at Andersonville and Florence used to hold louse races: they put two lice in the center of a pan and bet to see whose would make it to the edge first.

Apparently some guys cheated by lighting a match under their contestants!

Hi

Hi
My name is BunBun. I'm new here. I saw this thread and wanted to post too. I have two house rabbits 💜. They are my joys and caring for them makes me so happy. Their love and friendship has been so uplifting. I cherish them. They are very good listeners and love a good cuddle.
I'm staying sober this weekend and am happy to be reading your posts and share hope.

Welcome to Weekenders Silverback and BunBun!

Glad you're staying sober too BunBun, do your rabbits have names?

I'm glad you got through Friday Silverback, a hangover free Saturday is good payback.

Hi Saoutchik!
Thank you - glad to be here sober. Harold and Harriet. I adopted them from shelters and they're just happy and excited to be! Every morning they brighten my day...and eat my shoelaces 😂. BunBun
