Weight gain, spots but the fog has gone!
I am fast approaching day 50 after self-medicating heavily with alcohol for over 10 years to cover up my mental illness which I have now come out and spoke about with family, friends and colleagues.
Although I have gained 7lb thanks to never had before sugar cravings and my skin has spots which I didn't even have as a teen and sometimes felt my sleep would never end with me constantly drowsy. There were days I thought it wasn't worth it.
However, the benefits are by far better, my anxiety is under control, my bulimia has stopped and the fog has gone. I feel I am more alert and when I am with people who are drunk I think they look silly with cross eyes and very loud voices. I actually think sober is the new sexy!
I actually couldn't see me drinking again.

Sober is the new sexy , I like that .
Back before my time smoking was sexy and glamerous ,nearly everyone smoked . Look at that now . I hope as you say sober becomes the new" way to go ,sexy and glamerous "
