Hi everyone. I'm still riding the sober bus. Day 3 here and now all of the anxiety and guilt are rushing in. It doesn't help that I can now smell alcohol everywhere - my pillowcases, the garage steps where I liked to drink, the garbage cans, etc. I guess my sense of smell is starting to come back.

I'm reading a book called Healing the Shame that Binds You. I hope it will help, since shame is a big part of my story. Also headed off to my 3rd AA mtg in 3 days as party of 90 in 90. I'm not sure if AA is for me, but I can go and put my butt in the seat.

My family has been great. And while I know that I'm technically a high bottom drunk, this feels so bad that I don't want to know how low bottom feels. I'm all in. So, good morning and here's to another sober day!

Yes - you do not want to feel low bottom. At the end, I attempted suicide and quite luckily didn't die. (guess that's obvious!) Stop the elevator now.

Thanks everyone. Day 4 today and I hate the world and all things in it. 😂 I know it's irrational, but I am so annoyed. I hate the dog, judge judy, my boss, the tree that needs to be trimmed...sigh. I'm grumpy.
