15 days then I drank
Yes we must have been thinking about how we was both doing at the same time!!
Doing well , nearly got through my holiday without drinking , looking forward to day 11 tomorrow .
Yes I know what you mean about going to places sober , going out with work soon for a meal and I always drink , but I will do it sober.

Someone posted on here that drinking's not the solution to feeling uncomfortable socialising it's relearning how to socialise without a drink. Sounds about right but I reckon sometimes its just grinning and baring it. Well done on your hols!
Here's to a sober day 11.

Ah good for you! Holidays are a tough one. Glad its gone well for you. I'm good. Loving how much more engaged I am with work. And seriously into this quality sleep thats going on! Still struggle with the thought of some social stuff coming up but I've got time to figure it out. Learning more about AVRT.

Day 12 going well. Its my birthday, 37 today. Did a 6 mile walk with my husband then went out for lunch. Thoughts of drinking are floating around but Im getting along fine. When I really think about drinking I dont want it in my body. First sober birthday since my early teens! How are you getting on today? Glad to be back in your normal routine?
Happy birthday Gabe! , I don't think I have had a sober birthday since I have been 18 and I'm 41 now , I'm getting on ok , getting ready to going back to normal as back at work Monday.

Hi Gabe , how is day 13 going?
I'm doing well today , getting ready to going back to work tomorrow which can be stressful which can lead me to thinking about drinking but I am going to stay strong.
2 weeks tomorrow!

Oh, I can't tell you how good I'm feeling about being at 2 weeks!! I think we are getting to a safer place. Good today, feeling quite angry at alcohol and at our drinking culture in general. 20 fecking years saturated in the stuff.
I hope work goes well for you tomorrow. Stress is a nightmare of a trigger but short time outs, breathing etc work for me. You are doing an awesome job!

You two are awesome! That was such a nice read. I'm on the exact same number of days as the two of you so it was an extra treat to see all that lovely support. I've mostly been lurking over in the September class (love it) but starting to venture out into the wider world of SR. Hello!
Had to take a leaf out of my own book and take time out today. Stressed! Thinking about wine at 10am but only briefly. Glad your first day back went well.
And you're right about hangovers. My biggest pleasure is sober and hangover free mornings.
Two weeks....we rock!!
Congratulations to you to Kachal. Check in and let me know how you are doing.

That's awesome to hear. Hope you had lovely weather like we did. I've had a good day too. Love my job but the workload gets a bit nuts and stress has been high. Great thing is I still dont want to drink. Can't really believe it! Checking in here helps a lot too.
