Friday evening 10.30pm - hate, hate

So, I am one and a half bottles down already and I absolutely know I am not done yet.
So ashamed and disgusted.
Sorry for letting all you positive peeps down.
Dee, I dont deserve your encouragement.
Happy weekend to all, stay focused.

Sounds like your recovery plan needs a few tweaks.

You can stop the skid now. Shame and disgust just feeds the addiction. Dump what you have and go to bed.

And in your own words, "...stay focused."

Yep. Stop it now. This doesn't have to turn into a total wipe-out. Tip it away and hit the sack.

Cuckoo - you've let no one down. It sounds like this has made you miserable - maybe now you'll be even more determined to get free. We are with you & always will be.

Cuckoo 09-01-2017 04:28 PM

Yes Hevyn, miserable doesnt even begin to cover it.
Just want out of this rubbish now.
Want my life back.
At this moment I cant even vocalise 😢

Cuckoo, you can stop now and get back on track.

The shame and guilt will keep you drinking, so let go of those feelings. You can do this!

bllit 09-01-2017 05:10 PM

Hey cuckoo i'm not doing well either that's why I haven't posted . I did say I would keep posting and I am. Tomorrow is another day so try again the past is the past.We have to try again no matter how long or as many times as it takes

Dee74 09-01-2017 05:12 PM

Hey Cuckoo - everyone deserves my encouragement (you too bllit) :)
I didn't land here from Mars - I've been through it too.

I kept trying until I got the right mix of things that kept me sober - you can do that too.

First step is getting rid of the booze you have and not buying anymore this weekend :)

why don't both you guys join the Class of Sept support thread?

Cuckoo and bllit - better days are coming, we promise. I drank 30 yrs. I never dreamed I'd be able to make it through one day without it - but here I am with almost 10 yrs. sober. All the anxiety and bad feelings will fade - you'll grow stronger & more hopeful. I agree with Dee about the Class of Sept. thread - everyone understands what you're going through.

Be proud of yourselves for coming here and posting - and trying for a better life.
