Ello?

Anyone awake right now? I'm on hour 31 and unable to sleep. Going through withdrawls on my own at home and I can't stand to watch anymore tv. This is my first comment on here, and I'm not sure how any of this works yet, but I hope you all are doing good!

Hi Limber, how are you feeling now? The first few days are always tough.

Hiya... and welcome.
You'll always find someone awake...that's the joy of us being spread all over the World. I'm still early in recovery..but I promise it gets so much better.. Can you go for a walk..have a hot bath/shower...put some headphones on and zone out...??? The early hours/days are all about rest...eat healthy..drink lots of water....and please please get medical help if you need it. You can do this. Xxxx P

Welcome to SR :)

Hope you're doing OK. It really is the worst those hours between 24 and 72. You've got this though, and you don't have to feel like that again.

Dee74 08-30-2017 03:03 PM

How are you doing Limber? :)

Welcome Limber! I hope you'll check in & let us know how you are. Being restless in the early days is normal - and it will pass. I'm sorry you had a rough time.

YearOfTheRabbit 08-30-2017 03:40 PM

Welcome! I am also relatively new here. I have had some trouble sleeping lately as well, but I definitely feel more rested than waking up with a hangover. I did notice I get a bit cranky when I don't sleep well.

Hang in there, though. Again, welcome. :)

Hey guys, I've been posting on the hydro threas, as that was my poison. Thank you for checking in! I am 5 days SOBER! How are you guys doing so far? It's ******, but withdralws will be over soon and you will be able to start thinking clearly (this is just starting for me today, and not 100% yet). I have had some sharp, God awful stomach pain, back pain, leg, arm, hip, head pain...my pain is having pain! But, it's calming down now. I was able to keep up with my niece and nephew for about an hour today, although I had to rest for a few hours afterwards. The lack of energy, irritability, and mindset have been the hardest things for me. Almost caved once, but I was able to keep it together and get the hell away from that trigger.

Congrats on five days! That's a great foundation to build on. You can do this and be on the road to a wonderful, alcohol-free life.

Hevyn 09-03-2017 02:50 PM

5 days - that's fabulous, Limber. You are doing this! :)

Limber2929 09-12-2017 03:47 PM

Figured I'd do a quick update as its been a few days since I've posted in either thread. My cravings are alot fewer and farther between, my husband knows now and is somewhat....supportive and aloof about the whole thing. My body pain is leveling out, and my irritability is bailey gone. How is everyone else doin?

Dee74 09-12-2017 04:22 PM

great update limber - congrats :)

I've got another week under my belt! I should feel more excited about this, but my back hurts too damn bad to do anything other than lay down and write. I hope you guys are all doing ok and fighting the good fight! I'd love to hear from you all!
