Daughters birthday
Wow. Giant hugs to you!
This brings a lot of perspective for me.
I don't have custody of my daughter and she has recently been uprooted from our state and moved far, far away so I cannot see her. *But, I do text with her daily and we still have our amazing relationship. I am very blessed and fortunate and extremely grateful.
I agree, I would create a box and put notes or anything in it that you'd like to share with her. Someday she will see it and I too feel that it will work out.
My heart hurts for you. It is not at all easy to be a Mother without her child. I try not to think about it, which I know is unhealthy but I KNOW thinking of it kept me drunk, unable to gain any real sober traction. Now I have just accepted that it is what it is and am working hard on myself to be healthy and sober and strong so I can be alive when she gets old enough to make her own decisions.
Big hug...prayers and/or good vibes to you.
(Take your pick 😉 )
You're not alone,
xx Jules

Sweetichick, I am so sorry for your pain. I think it's best that you are doing what you need to do for yourself today because your sobriety is so important. I hope that, as you continue in your recovery, your daughter will make a decision to re-connect with you.
