Hey! The fact that you are posting at this time is a good sign, it takes courage to do that and you have it. It is just a bump not a derailment.

And just because you drank this morning doesn't mean you need to carry on drinking for the rest of today. You don't need to feed that AV any more than what's already been given in.

If there's any booze in the house tip it away.!!

BB xx

You can do this.

It's not us you are letting down, but you. And, you can climb out of this and get back to working on your recovery. You mentioned that it happened so fast and I used to think that, too. But, I eventually realized, that I had given myself permission to drink on some level. Focus on the fact that drinking is no longer an option.

Exclamation

I removed a run of posts. If dialogue of that type needs to happen it's best left to PM.

This forum and the threads in it should be about recovery & support.

Please, lets all move on.

As I said on your other thread - you've learned something Mummy - and you're back with new determination. Sometimes we need further proof that we can't touch the stuff.

Here for you always.

Mummy,
many folks will suggest that there is something to learn from going back to drinking.
the thing i learned from a gazillion returns is that i was a drunk. a real drunk. an alcoholic.
that was the thing for me to learn. once i grasped that i could give up the never- ending battle for control and start doing what i needed to do.

what might that look like for you?

I have gotten a lot from reading your posts! ****{Mummy****** Hugs to you! It's not a surprise to me when people go out - I have a couple of times. As I have shared, almost 10 yrs... What DOES surprise me is when people come back so fast and brush themselves off instead of giving into the "well I've done it now - maybe I can control it this time!" Proud of you for your humility and strength and hope you can forgive yourself and realize what it really means for you to be here instead of God only knows where. Doesn't disqualify or negate any of the awesome posts from the past and I will continue to listen to you and pray for you!

MTo2 , don,t beat yourself up your stronger than you think . There is very little I can add to the wisdom and advice in the responses you received .
You have cheered me up a few times with your posts in the past weeks so hopefully to know you have helped even one person inspires you to stay here sober , best wishes.
