Well, I've watched Mayweater vs. McGregor and I have to admit I enjoyed it.

Spoler Alert:

I even more enjoyed it because I gave quite an accurate prediction of the fight scenario. First 4 rounds Mayweather messed around and let McGregor touch him. At round 5 he started picking up momentum. At Round 6 he started real boxing and it wasn't question "Who" but "When". Referee made it TCO round 10.

Another "by-product" of my sobriety - I can predict a boxing fight)))

Ok. Enough bragging. Off to gym. It's time to get back muscles in shape again. I still have a challenge to master a real, non-assisted pull-up.

See you)

Tom Waits

Thanks for information on Tom Waits guys. I lost more of the last 2 decades than I thought......

Turns out he was sober before I even started drinking with true dedication. I had a long held fascination with self destructive drinking back then. I thought it was romantic and cool. I was listening to that music without ever contemplating how it was going to end.

I am so glad he is sober.....its so sad to hear so often of people who don't make it out alive. Sorry thats maudlin.

Hope everyone is safe and well today.

Hi All,

Heading to Ogunquit Maine today for a weeks vacation. This will be my first vacation since I began my recovery. Lots of good things happening on my end so I don't intend to ruin my progress. I've planned a lot of activities to keep us busy. Looking forward to a great get-a-way!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I plan to!

Have a great time Creative Thinker!

Didn't knowKeith Urban liked a slurp, that is a surprise to me.

MidnightBlue - probably because i'm an old biffer I am also a bit of a boxing purist. In my world boxers box and there is only one world champion for each weight division. Dream on Saoutchik.

Yes indeed... and he was hooked on crack... He takes his sobriety VERY seriously.

Rough and tumble weekend for me, although telecommuting. An urgent matter that arose mid week and we'll still be dealing with it next week. We broke for the night a couple of hours ago and I really needed to spin down my brain. Perfect summer evening out there, walking the dog didn't do it. So I took the car for a drive, put Purps favorite band on, turned up the volume and rolled down the windows.

Ahhhh! yes, great way to unwind. Thanks for the introduction to ABR Purplrks!

I liked this video, all ukulele and vocals. It inspired me to try it and I found this play along. It's actually quite easy!

.....August Burns Red!

Well not in London obviously but it is set to be pretty decent. Bank Holiday in England and Wales.

This is not a great pic but as you can see it is a good sunrise.

They're called Apocalypse Blues Revue ~ a blues/rock group formed by Shannon & Tony from Godsmack. Here is a link to their site if you wanna check 'em out!

The fair was fun. It was really hot - which lends itself nicely to all the many permutations of ice cream treats.

Pig fight! Never saw that before. It was accidental. Turns out if you dress a few huge pigs in Halloween costumes and try to parade them around in a paddock - they get a bit testy with one another. Squealing, costumes, and blood. Good times.

They put a board between them and it was over before either of them were seriously injured. It was Hogwarts vs Porkemon (their costume names, not mine.)
No decision.

I checked "August Burns Red" as recommended by Saoutchik, not half awake yet this morning...
It was not exactly fitting with my zen coffee

The Apocalypse Blues Revue is a pretty good heavy "stoner" band!

Ha Ha! I don't know why that sprung into my mind.

Glad you had a good time at the fair biminiblue, the pig fight apart.

My older sister and brother in law retired a few months ago, they sounded like they were bored already, I half suspected that might happen as my sis at least was never one for just "chillin." she has volunteered for a mobile library but I don't think she is satisfied with that.

AV came too! Currently sat with Mr P in a pub...... he's on the San Miguel... I had a moment at the bar... verging on panic attack.... managed to say pot of tea please.
Feeling somewhat left out..... having a strong word with myself!!
