I always laugh so much at the part in Quadrophenia where Jimmy gets knocked off his bike by the postman. Don't really know why I find that so funny, I think it's Jimmy's comment.

Signing up for the weekend.

Welcome, CanadianKoala!

Great to see you, Mecanix!

Glad you're feeling better, Sao. Hope your scratchy voice lingers, though, so you can really milk it at work tomorrow!

I like it when old members check in. Where's Mesa and Weasel and LBrain and Brynn and BixBees and Melina?

This is almost blasphemous...Bob Dylan at the White House? What? Those Democrats, trying to reach out. What's next?

A fine Sunrise below up here around ~6,000' Elevation in MesaVille. Really fabulous Dark Skies viewing earlier this Morning with Planets and Stars blazing away. 'Tis nice to see only one set of Stars using Binoculars while Sober after popping outta Bed refreshed.

Below is the U.S. TV appearance by The Who which introduced the Band to America with a proverbial bang. 50 Years ago....

P.S. ~ Cosmic, Bim! I was just putting together the Links below before your Post above showed up. Jez hangin' out Sober, and spending plenty of travel time in the new_ish RV Trailer...

Was my life when there was a long weekend in the forecast. I would dwell about the wine I could drink all long weekend and not worry about work for 3 days. That is now history...TG!

Gosh... already been a week since last Friday... It FLEW by... No big plans... I have my son this week-end, always a guarantee of sobriety! Heading to his football game tonight... He starts his junior year of high school on Monday.

So who's gonna win tomorrow: Mayweather vs McGregor:

Welcome to Weekenders:- deccemist, ChloeRose, CanadianKoala, heavencanwait and obladi. Congratulations on 2 months heavencanwait.

Good to see you Mecanix you too MesaMan.

Funny gif bim!

Bit of trivia- Keith Moon and Marc Bolan's plaques are almost side by side in Golders Green Crematorium - lots of other famous types too. I might go up there and take some pics soon. Marc Bolan aka Mark Feldman was a local boy.

I am definitely feeling better now, which is good since I have phoned in sick today. It deems I chose the right day as it is warm and sunny for the first time for weeks. My part of London is a party neighbourhood and I can see people have already began celebrating the long weekend. That would have included me until a few years ago.

I thought I would treat myself to lunch out, I was strongly tempted to go for something carnivorous and unhealthy but decided to go for something more namby pamby but healthy. I will defer the carbs and calories until tomorrow. It was pretty good too and only £8 with a lemonade, by London standards that is reasonable value.

There's a man with a gun over there telling me I gotta beware.. a 1000 people in the street what a day for the Heat..

funny how our songs of the 1960's once again say so much of today..

Be Safe out there all from one end of this big blue marble to the other..

do... charcoal burning everywhere another HappyValley Sunday .. instead...
love a kid from the 1960's/// yes with flowers in my hair..
