Got hit HARD today

Yikes, I just got home and I feel like I just made it by the skin of my teeth. I had an intense craving my last hour of work and nothing I tried was able to shake it.

I planned out which bus I was going to take and left work with the only goal to get my butt on that bus so I could get home....

So I made it here, thank God. Door is locked and I'm reading my "what I don't miss" list and posts on here for encouragement while I calm down. You people are lifesavers. Is it weird that I literally feel I dodged something incredibly dangerous?

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm not leaving my apartment for the rest of the night.

It isn't weird at all, you DID dodge something incredibly dangerous. The potential negative feelings waking up tomorrow can lead to more and more relapse.

Excellent job on staying strong, that in itself is enough to be proud of.

Thanks everyone! Being able to come here and read and post really helped me today. I really mean it when I say you all are life savers.

I feel better now. I'm playing with my cat and just ate a good dinner. I'm so glad I didn't drink!

Flinders--you can do it! Stay strong, friend.

Couldn't agree more, this community has been pivotal in my only 4 days, but it's given me support, resources, a place to vent, and keep strong in my convictions.

I actually had a little girl bring me a beer tonight because it was in her mother's fridge, and I turned it down. She couldn't believe it.
