53 days sober/Thank u..
First of all thanks a lot u guys..i am 26 years old male who leave his habit of drinking due to some health issue,not serious though..did not know that much hard it was..heard about rehab,but thought it was only for hard core drug abuser..i used to drink alcohol every day since 1 year of my bank job life,prior to these heavy drinking during my engineering period of 4 years,1 year of marijuana use..i thought it was normal because so many friends around me doing the same thing,but suddenly i had to stop because of sudden fear of health issue..i thought i messed with my liver..well first 7 days,cant explain,i thought why is this happening to me..so much fear..i thought recovery is a piece of cake for me except cravings..but it did worse over the period..it induced anxiety,fear..but during that earlier period of recovery i used read these threads only..it gave me hope that i am a normal person..every day was a new struggle for me,change in thought process,thinking about my sleepless nights,anxiety,brain fog..i am living far from my parents and family,have a good and strong relationship..still got anxiety and brain fog,but the best part is u people make me realize that these are experiences which an alcoholic has to suffer,reading those threads made me calm day by day,gave me hope..and last but not the least...these 53 days by myself only..no body teaches me except u people..i know it will take time to clear the fog or going away of anxiety..but day by day it getting better..now i have realized why people go to rehab..when somebody think or fear something like u it will give u a thought ok i am not alone..this is normal..in theweekends and evenings after job i used to read these threads and realize that ok i am doing great..lots of love
