Mizzuno Update :)
Hey All.
Ive been a bit busy this last month. I turned 5 months sober on the 18th.
Everything in my life is going really well. I have a daily routine that is keeping me grounded and feeling like I have a FULL life.
I started a new job that allows for creativity and a newness everyday. I get to think outside of the box and work with a lot of people who are quite amazing.
I am free these days of any desire to drink. I thought of this last night while sitting outside. I honestly don't have any needs or wants to partake of alcohol. Being that I am only 5 months sober, I have to remember that the desire or idea can creep in at any time. Stress can lead me to thinking sideways, and so I combat any life stresses with exercise and nutrition.
I don't see myself slipping in thought or thinking that I can have "one" drink. Drinking is off the table no matter what. I cant afford to lose clarity or to lose the momentum that I have gained. What became crucial for me when I got sober was my entire well being. Alcohol was and will turn this woman into a mess.
Just keep moving forward and keep your eye on the prize. The prize being mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being.
I am so thankful for this forum and all people who are here to help others. There is goodness in this world.

So happy to hear from you, Mizzuno! Congratulations how the new job has been going and the peace and goodness you've found. I've been thinking about you and am so very glad you came back to post and update. Continued best wishes. Please post when you can! <3
