Yup. I don't work in the summer and with the arrival of my husband home, I didn't have to stay on task with my child. It became around the clock and no functioning necessary (except hiding it from him). Not surprisingly, I ended up in the hospital two summers in a row after about 2 months of round-the-clock drinking. Like clockwork.

Heavily every weekend from the age of 15 to 19. Every single day from the age of 20 to 37.
On week days I would start while driving home from work. Usually 2 - 6 beers, then 2 - 5 glasses of wine while cooking dinner and eating, afterwards, several strong bourbon over ice drinks.
Weekends were they're own craziness.
Oddly enough I did all of this while obtaining multiple pilots licenses and ratings as well as going from an entry level position in my current job ( not aviation related ) to running the entire operation with 35 employees in 10 years.
It's amazing i didn't blow all that but somehow I kept up with life, someone or something was looking out for me for sure!
The past 18 months however have been terrible, it's like my body went from a mid 30s guy to a near hopeless alcohol dependant loser overnight.
Sorry if I got off subject there.

A bottle of wine a night started with dinner 6 or 7ish and went until around 11pm some days I’d have more if I started around 5:00 I’d just try to space it out a little more. Either way each time I drank it’d be to get drunk
This went on for a 3-5 years, for pregnant ao I have a year off each time but once I gave birth I’d be back to my habits wishing a few months

Everyday. Two cheap 1.75 bottles of vodka per week with a few craft beers. M-F was 5-10pm and weekends were anywhere from early afternoon to 11-12pm. Almost always drank at home, many times alone. Drank to mask my anxiety...little did I know I was making it worse.

Weekends, rarely but it did happen, during the week.
I knew it was time to quit alcohol. Grow up, get myself together, stop hiding my drinking and lying about it to everyone including myself.
No real war stories, a couple snarky arguments with my husband. Enough was enough. Time to get sober before I lost control and hurt people I love.

I drank every day for more than 20 years. I could count on one hand the number of days I hadn't drank before stopping and the only time those days ever happened where when I was too sick to even have a hot toddy.
If I was working I'd pour my first drink as soon as the bar was setup in the AM. If I had the day off I'd pour a glass of white wine before noon.
I didn't always drink to oblivion but I did drink all day every day. I've been working in bars my entire adult life.

Before I quit the first time id start before I got my little girls up for school at 7am. Every single day. That was a fifth a day every day for years. Since I started again four years ago it got up to about a bottle and a half of wine and a half pint of hard liquor every day. Before I quit ten days ago I drank 3 bottles of wine.
I would typically get in one good binge on a Friday/Saturday, then do a mini weeknight binge as soon as I'd recovered from that one (some weeks two). Just a cycle of drinking, hangovers, and anxiety, not to mention so much wasted and lost time.
Every. Single. Day. It started with weekend vodka and whatever, then daily, but I always justified it because it was only after 6 pm. It was a 1.75 liter bottle in 2 days, then it took less than 2 days. Blackouts almost every night. In my infinite wisdom I decided to switch to wine. I mean, after all, it's "just" wine, right? Began working from home so I took that opportunity to start at 3pm. Did that for a year where a big box lasted 3 days, then 2, then 1 1/2. Until last month when I finally had enough. Can't imagine going back to that misery.
