Its party time.

So I sold my house yesterday, I got more than what I was asking, and they are paying cash. I'm happy.

Why do I bring this up? When I was actively drinking this would have been the perfect excuse to drink myself into oblivion for the next couple days. I don't drink anymore, so instead I am actively hunting for a new place and its kind of fun. Sometimes life comes at you fast, and being sober helps me deal with it much much better.

Hooray! House on the market is so nerve-wracking.
Glad it went well.

thomas,
I mentioned you in the word association game this morning The word was 'house' and I thought of 'warming' because you are looking for a new home!

Fantastic! It's very emotional to sell a house. I'm glad you're doing well.

So happy for your thomas! A friend of mine in recovery is going through something very similar- they actually found their dream house, got the just-at-limit-of-affordable mortgage, got a contract on their house w minimal back and forth, and close on both two weeks from today. He said the SAME thing you did about how he would have behaved in the past.

I hope you and yours (like my friend) find much sober happiness in your new adventures!

What good news, Jeff. Houses sell very slowly around here (Catskills). Sometimes they're on the market 2-3yrs. Glad that didn't happen to you.
