50 Days - Attention Newcomers
Congratulations.
Towards the last 5 years or so of my drinking career....I drank beer to slow me down. 1 beer....1 shot....1 beer...1 shot....passout...wakeup feeling like I got hit by a Budweiser truck.
Nightmare!
I was so lucky my heart didn't just quit. My bp was regularly 190/120 the next day., I stopped checking it because I could feel my eyes pulsing.
Glad those days are gone forever.

Thank you for this. I'm on day 6 and while I (thankfully) didn't go through any horrible detox except for some shakes, sweats, and headaches, every day is still a struggle.
I think setting small goals for myself is what's doing it for me, kind of like how you said "just get to double digits." That's my goal right now. Two weeks and I can keep going.
