Day 6
 

Feeling well on Day 6. Husband got drunk and verbally abusive last night, which obviously showed me what I am not missing about drinking. Plan on continuing to go to daily AA meetings.

Great job Freedom! Stick with it. Sorry to hear about your husband, but as you undoubtedly know, you can only control yourself. Abuse, though, in any form, is extremely serious, dangerous and a separate issue from drinking. Take actions to protect yourself. There are a lot of posts in the friends and family forum regarding this issue - or you can consider starting your own thread. A call to an advocate at a local women's shelter is highly recommended.
