Day 3

This morning is the first time in a LONG time that I woke up and didn't feel that immediate wave of anxiousness and dread to get out of bed. That is a huge deal for me because it's something that has kept me from wanting to even wake up for months.

I still feel groggy, spacey, my arms and legs feel like they're weighted down and any exertion is draining. My headache is still there and I have minor jaw pain. But on the plus side, my appetite is back in full force. I feel like I can't get enough to eat! 4 days of fasting will do that to a person I guess lol.

It's now 4pm here, the evening is always when my anxiety gets bad which is when I'd start drinking it away. I'm going to try and keep myself distracted and focused! This forum has been a God send for me the last couple of days. Thank you all sooooo much.

Thanks for being part of us, Jezzi. I'm so glad you woke up feeling hopeful.

I felt exhausted & groggy too for the first few weeks. We've beaten ourselves up rather badly - we need time to recover & heal. You're giving yourself a wonderful gift.

day 3 is great, and good you can recognise your feelings and acknowledge the times you drank. That will help you mindfully choose an alternative to drinking! Well done!

You are doing great jezzi! Just over a week ago I felt like you have the last few days. Just keep going love, it gets so much better and the good news is we never have to go back to feeling like that again. xx
