Hi sugarbear1 - I have been struggling with alcohol for most of my adult life 30+ years. I was a functioning alcoholic, worked, raised my kids, etc etc. I have also had so many heartbreaks, deaths and disappointment in my life. My story is very sad, but I am not ready to really go there yet on here. I turned to alcohol ( wine was my poison) mostly on weekend binges. I had tried many times with no success, maybe 15 days. All I can say is that I woke up one day and said it is over! No more abuse. I deserve better. I am flying solo with this and to be honest I am doing OK.

Congrats! You sound like a similar drinker to me. Not every day, but mostly binge drinking on weekends with a 1-2 times heavy drinking during the week. Too bad I couldn't figure out the moderation thing Anyhow, this is only my first day sober so I am envious of 37 days! hopefully I can post the same in 36 days
