Day 5 & first Sober free Sunday!

Hi Guys. I'm now on Day 5 and it's Sunday. I have drank every Sunday I can think of in the last 10 years and the last sober one was 7th May.

It's always a trigger Sunday as we used to go out about 1-2pm for a few drinks with friends, walk round the bars and then go for food. Then I started cooking at home and had wine. But I cooked today with no wine and although I nearly broke I totally smashed it. So I lay in bed now on a Sunday evening (I'm in the UK) knowing Monday will be Day 6 and have lots planned to keep my mind off the booze this week.
Just got to make it to next weekend when the struggle begins again xx

Good for you 8!!!!!!

You can do this.

I remember those drinking Sundays myself. But the longer I'm sober the more amazing I feel without them.

Keep strong! You can do this one day at a time.

nite.... sleep tight...

That first weekend is always the toughest. Good for you getting through that. Next weekend should be a little easier, as long as you stay sober during the week. Stay busy. Make a plan. John

That was a huge hurdle to get over - well done, 8DC. It won't always be that difficult.
