Day 5 & first Sober free Sunday! Hi Guys. I'm now on Day 5 and it's Sunday. I have drank every Sunday I can think of in the last 10 years and the last sober one was 7th May. It's always a trigger Sunday as we used to go out about 1-2pm for a few drinks with friends, walk round the bars and then go for food. Then I started cooking at home and had wine. But I cooked today with no wine and although I nearly broke I totally smashed it. So I lay in bed now on a Sunday evening (I'm in the UK) knowing Monday will be Day 6 and have lots planned to keep my mind off the booze this week. Just got to make it to next weekend when the struggle begins again xx |

Keep strong! You can do this one day at a time. nite.... sleep tight... |
That first weekend is always the toughest. Good for you getting through that. Next weekend should be a little easier, as long as you stay sober during the week. Stay busy. Make a plan. John |
Good for you HDC - welcome to SR :) D |
That was a huge hurdle to get over - well done, 8DC. It won't always be that difficult. |
