Thanks everyone, just got back from doing a bootfair, it seems everyone is drinking even the stallholders, oh well they can keep it

Congrats on 10 days. At the beginning of sobriety the AV can be like a raging 500 kg Gorilla. As you get more sober time it will become a little monkey that rarely squacks!

Funny how drinking seems like it is everywhere. We are hyper aware in the beginning. Soon you won't notice everyone drinking, every liquor store sign, every bar. It all calms down the longer you go.

You are noticing stuff- the fact you can go to a boot fair and enjoy it without booze being the focus is great. I had a small milestone of sorts a few weeks ago. I had told myself about 16 months ago I would not wat a steak- unless it was sober and not alone. Some friends shouted me a meal at a boutique pub. The friends, the food and conversation was great.
