Starting on acamprosate

I'm sitting in the waiting area for the doctor to come and I should hopefully get it....I am so excited about beginning on this journey and the recommended time on it is 1 year so I'll have a year's sobriety behind me if I do all the right things thanks to the NHS giving me this chance.
Also can't wait to get to a meeting tonight as I know it's usually quite small and I can get comfortable sharing hopefully...........

Great post Allyson. Acamprosate is brilliant and I found it helped with food cravings too. Win win Yes?

Great news!

I have taken acamprosate since i quit drinking (17+ mo ago) and my psych has plans to keep me on it indefinitely. Taking it as par of my meds regimen is a tool- I have honestly not experienced a single physical craving.

Good luck- don't drink- keep going!
