Day 65, getting on a roll Just checking in to say I'm hanging in there and it really does get easier. 65 days. Cravings/thoughts still come -- maybe even every day -- but it's getting easier to ride them out and dismiss them. The positive emotional and physical changes multiply. It seems ridiculous to consider giving that up for the fleeting, hollow "satisfaction" of drinking, which actually came down to a daily build-up to just a first sip. It wasn't even "fun" after that. It was just poison in disguise. Squandering my connection and time with my family, my interests, my health, my looks, my self respect for a lie. The day is clearer, mornings are bright and hopeful, I feel 10 years younger. Hope this helps someone. |

nice job, tealilly -- so glad to hear it! |
Thank you all. I appreciate everyone's encouragement so much. I'm doing this only with the support of SR and it's made a huge difference. I have struggled for years. Just so relieved to see light at the end of the tunnel. I hope I'm not annoying in being positive now. It hasn't been easy. |
My sentiments exactly. Nice job!! |
Awesome OP :) The only one that gets annoyed hearing how stopping putting poison in your mouth, aka quitting, makes everything better, is the AV :) eff the AV ;) Go tealily! |
