Walked straight in to a very awkward situation

Went to see our friends, and went early so it would be coffee time, but no the fella was drinking wine and said would you like a glass, straight away I replied no thanks, in my head I just kept saying I cant drink like you over and over, made my excuses and left, thank god

Got my first awkward situation next Saturday, first game of new football season and I haven't been sober to watch the Mighty Oxford United in about 25 years....already trying to think of excuses but can't miss the game
