Went back to meetings today and feel fantastic!!
 

This morning I text my mate in AA and asked if I could tag along to her home group meeting with her and I am so glad I finally went back.
Sitting listening to stuff on the net and reading wasn't quite cutting it for me, boredom was creeping back in and I am glad I finally plucked up the courage to go with her, and hoping to go back tomorrow if I can get to it on time after I see my children.
Also got the phone number of a woman 7 1/2 years sober who I want to get to know and hopefully look into her being my sponsor. We just hit it right off, and the saying " put people in my path" that's what happened today.

Very happy contented sober person tonight, and loving it!!!

That's great, im considering going to a meeting myself, just scares me to death!!!

I know it is scary but once your through the door you wonder what you were worrying for, I would recommend you go, it's the best decision you'll make.
I need people around that understand me and everyone in the room does, and made me feel so welcome.
Try and get to one and build a strong support network, that's all I'm doing and it's making such a difference...
