Set myself a new goal
Set myself a new goal
When I feel more alive in my brain, I am getting all my French books out and going to learn as much of this Language as I can, whilst drinking I let everyone one around me do my talking for me as I couldn't function, so even if I learn a sentence a week, a little progress is better than none
I think that's a great plan. Think of all the things you can do now that your energy and time won't be taken up by drinking and recovering from it. It is exhausting and all consuming.. and it gives us nothing good back.
You can learn French! Play games with your son. Have adventures with your daughter. Rediscover your passions and talents and find new ones.
It's an exciting time! I feel so much younger. I didn't realize the haze I was living under, the disability I was inflicting on myself.
So happy for you.

That's a great goal! I was watching the sunrise this morning and think I'm now going back to college and finish my degree( I'm in my 40's). I don't 'need it' but, it's something i'm going to do. It's quite amazing the amount of free time I have now that I'm not stuck on booze brain.
