Congratulations, MIR! You have definitely had a unique sober journey with a challenge that many of us cannot even imagine. Thank you for sharing the different stages of it here in such an authentic and inspiring way; I have learned from your posts a great deal over time.

Thanks all. Bittersweet day but as I have said before the is no problem a drink won't make worse and the are a million excuses to drink just no good ones.

No one ever said sobriety was all unicorns and rainbows but I know one thing with certainty my life is so much better without alcohol.
