Hello out there
 

Found myself here today trying to convince myself not to bring a bottle of gin on a work trip to surreptitiously sip at night. Thought talking/typing through it might tip the scales in favor of no and help make better decisions in general. Several years and several poor decisions have been made. I'm carrying a lot of guilt, anxiety, and stress and quitting my 4-ish drinks a night has not been possible so far. So - hello out there. :-)

Hello, back at you! Glad you found us. You will find alot of support and information here. Many of us have been where you are and will have some non-judgemental advice and comments. Keep posting and reading other posts for some insight on what SR is all about.
We all had to make that first starting decision to stop drinking and begin a sober journey. The decision is up to you. Do you want to begin starting now? Then leave the gin at home or better yet get rid of all the alcohol. Make a choice. Good Luck!
