Step 1

Last post was that i was going for test results and I was going to be honest with my doctor. Test results where great except some of my vitamin levels. Liver, heart, sugar, etc are all doing well. I have the courage to bring up my addiction.

However, this morning I called and made an appointment with an addiction specialist. The appointment is Friday. I've also provided the EAP provider with the info needed to get 3 free visits. This includes the reasons why I want to go to a counselor.

This is a huge step. I'm going to discuss ways to quit without causing harm to my body. (Withdrawals)

Step 1.

Sounds like a fantastic step forward Sinderos, and very glad to hear that all the vitals and organs are still in good shape. That must be a huge relief. Good luck with the specialist...that's a very brave step on your part.
