In Less Than 2 Hours, Soberwolf Time,
Wolfie - Hearty congratulations on 4 years of sobriety. I have always been inspired by your kindness and support here on SR. I hope you realize how much you have helped so many people here. You truly embody the AA phrase "If I want to keep it, I have to give it away."
Soberwolf I have been looking back at some of your brilliant posts as part of my recovery over the last few weeks. What is brilliant is that your wisdom (and many others) doesn't vanish just because you aren't necessarily able to post in the here and now. The beauty of SR is that there are so many layers of support and information. Years and years of experience.
You don't know me and we will never likely meet in real life but you have changed my life. Many others have too.
Thank you Soberwolf and congratulations on 4 years of hard earned sobriety

4 years seems like such a long time but really it's a blink of the eye not even that.
I'm happy i don't drink anymore and happier than i have ever been without alcohol, I'm not proud or in a celebratory mood for 4 years as its not about that (For me)
It's been a long year or at least felt like one, a lot has happened in my personal life both good & not so good (Such is life) but overall it's improving all the time & I'm doing really well.
I would like to say to anyone on a day 1 (Whether it's your first day 1 or your 1000th) to deeply think about what you want from life, in particular your life...We only get this one. As i flick back to my own day 1 i remember feeling hopeless, worthless & broken...It was horrible & painful but with work on myself & staying commited on my recovery i somehow am writing this message right now to you guys
SR has played a big part in my recovery since i arrived in August 2014 i have met many people and have learnt tons along the way i guess you can call SR many things as it does so much for so many but more than anything it's a vast valuable resource & library of recoveries and from this i have gained a lot of knowledge (How could you not)
So with that i thank you all & a special shout out to SoberLeigh for making the time to create this thread I'm unworthy in your kindness hun x
I'l be around today but i wont be back until late autumn & even then i wont be posting as much but i will be around

You will forever be an inspiration to me!
Congratulations, SoberWolf! Your wisdom and encouragement have been vastly helpful to me and so many others who are struggling with the pain and horror of alcoholism. Best wishes, my friend.

If you see this, congratulations and thank you! I've been lurking here probably since 2014, and your contributions have clearly had a big impact on many, many people. Grateful for this forum and people like you willing to share and reach out, so generously to so many.
Best wishes and so happy for you!

Darnit, I'm late to the party. In any event, Soberwolf, I want to join the chorus of folks congratulating you and thanking you for everything you have done for all of us. You were one of the first people to welcome me to this board when I joined, and although I had already been sober for a year when I joined, you made me feel welcome in this community and you have helped me throughout my sober journey. I also remember seeing your username and thinking, geeze, that dude has a cool name (he's a damn wolf!) and mine is just lame! I then spent an hour trying to change my username before giving up.
Your positive messages and persistent support will be missed for a few months, but I look forward to seeing you back here soon. Thanks Again!
