Day 90,Holiday Time

A little milestone ! 90 days

It's been a tough ride getting here but man is it worth it ! I can't believe to tell you how much better I am!

More positive ..generally
Lost 6kg
BMI now upper part of normal
Fitter now than I have ever been
I generally sleep a load better
Compliments, had 2 this week! I can't tell you difference I look ..I have done a daily selfie and even I don't recognise the yellow bloaty mess from day 1
Money I saved has paid for all spending money for hols!

Today marks my start of vacation, off to Portugal for 2 weeks! :-) , slightly nervous about the whole alcohol thing as cause it will always be a excuse to drink on a holiday ..I've told my wife I'm not drinking.

I've worked bloody hard to get to this point and have no intention of chucking it in the bin for 2 weeks,I know it wouldn't be end of it and I will be in the cycle of doom when I return and back to square one

Can't believe this is going to be my first holiday in 20 years I'm dry, kind of a good feeling!

Still only focus on the day, still have the cravings (although less frequent ),still have the very dark moods which can last days ..but I'm clean and sober!

Be interested in others about vacations and early sobriety

Anyway - without you fine folk I wouldn't be typing this so thank you !

Well done Rainy England - hope you have an amazing holiday !!!
Did you not eat more when you gave up the booze? The last 2 days I haven't stopped eating and worried about putting on weight but you have lost weight X

Hi Susie

I did in first few weeks but since been exercising a lot! Also keeping a eye out on what I eat with a fitness app :-) .find it takes my mind off booze also which is a bonus !
