Eek! New routine starting.
Eek! New routine starting.
I've been prescribed clonazepam to take in the mornings and every few hours as needed. Instead of drinking. This is a massive change for me. 6 years of drinking and I'm gonna wake up and take a pill not open a beer. Wish me luck!
Baby,
Whatever it takes to get clean.
I am not a fan of benzos, but i understand the hell addiction can cause in a brain.
I still have ptsd from getting clean drug free.
It was a living hell.
Thanks.

Because of the severity of my anxiety they gave my the clonze. I am a little nervous to take them too but it's a baby dose. .5mg I will be weaned of in 7 days. And from then on out it's up to me. That's when the real work begins. That's when I'm gonna need you guys. So keep your heads up cause I'll be around.
I most certainly will. It's 6 30 am right now and I've had about 2 hours of sleep. I'm not feeling too bad right now so I'm going to lay back down and get a bit more shut eye. My face is a bit hot but other than that I'm ok. I'll be taking my first dose of clonazepam when I wake back up again for the day
I'm flying by the seat of my panties right now. I have no idea. I'm looking at changing my routine and adding in meditation and exercise. I've purchased a elliptical machine. I've informed a couple friends as well who have given me their full support and on call if I need them at any time. So.....any suggestions as to what to do next would he helpful and welcomed
I think aries suggestion is sound.
Get rid of all the alcohol in your house - by dumping it, not drinking it.
Impress upon your husband that he simply can't buy any more for you.
Then take the medication your Dr prescribed for you
It's a leap of faith... but a pretty safe one babyedwards - look at all the happy people in recovery here

LUCK- eek! not luck- but support. If you do what you know you have to do, work at it, have a plan...luck has very little to do with my recovery now. Just like I used to have the same degree of sincerity and remorse filled guilt to stop drinking, I hoped I could- with luck..but I did not change-me.
Support to you.
