Caught myself, but wow...
 

Day 63 today and all was great, feeling good, not even thinking about it, reading here and sometimes contributing and so on..

Anyway, sat on the couch this evening and decided to watch a little TV before hitting the sack. Going through some TV series on Netflix, I came across Mad Men. Saw the whole thing quite while ago, and didn't think twice about it. I thought, hey, I'll watch the first episode and then hit it.

20 minutes into it, and all these people are boozing it all the time, and I mean all the time, smoking too, and looks like they're having a great time, and then suddenly I had this craving. When Don Draper ordered an Old Fashioned (used to be my favorite), I caught myself thinking wow, that was a good drink.

And this went on for a few minutes, and suddenly I realized what's going on. Turned the thing off as quickly as I could and went out to the balcony. Cleared my mind and I am feeling somewhat better, but let me tell you folks, the old voice in the head is soooo sneaky, ready to whisper in your ear at the most unexpected times.

I don't know if you watched the series but I am thinking Don must have retired early from life with some serious alcohol related disease. Who knows, anyway, I don't care. Maybe, he found SR and kicked the habit. If he didn't, he should have.

I am just happy I caught this. I didn't realize TV shows could get under my skin like that. That's another one for the trigger list.

Well, I must admit I am actually quite angry with myself now. Picked the best show to watch in these initial sober weeks!!

All right, that's it and watch out what you decide to watch especially in the early weeks. Almost had me going, that sneaky old AV.

Also made me realize how fragile I still am on this long road..

I saw right through him, though :)
