Well.

Back from a 35 minute walk in the most humid evening I can imagine. Before I walked out the door there is nothing I wanted more than a beer or 10. Now, I am more grateful than I can express that I did not have to do that.

SR, and collections of former drunks in general, are a generous and patient and convincing folk. I am SO grateful.

I'm showered and in bed now. I have family and community plans tomorrow. This has been a touch and go time last few days, but I am HERE. No place better to be.

There's always hope SAH.

This place is full of people who were as badly beaten down as you are by their addiction, or worse, and they turned things around.

You can too

It's just not true hat you cannot change or that you are doomed to die this way.

You need to make changes - make more use of SR for a start?

If you started to post here regularly I bet you'd improve SAH....but we're not crisis workers - we can't do much to help you if the only time you log on is when you're drinking and talking about death

thats why we're trying to get you to call someone - if not 911 at least one of the many crises numbers that are in the link Anna posted.

There's a whole range of options you either haven't tried or need to try again SAH.

If you won't take the option of going to hospital then getting some rest is probably a good option for tonight?

Going back to AA is another option I think might help. Seeing your Dr for help is another option.

You'll be able to think of other options for yourself tomorrow.

I thought I'd lost mine but I found it again in recovery SAH.

You'll never find it drinking.
Why not give not drinking a chance?

Your soul is not lost. That's the booze speaking.

You're never too far gone for God.

Going on an on about things while you're drunk serves no purpose.

Please call 911.

If you don't want to call 911, how about one of the hotlines, SH?

24-Hour Crisis Hotline

Samaritans 24-Hour Crisis Hotline (212) 673-3000

Confidentiality is The Key

Samaritans hotline is completely confidential and anonymous, and, unlike some other hotline services, does not utilize caller ID or call tracing, making it a safe place to turn for people who are afraid to go someplace else or feel they have no place else–due to social, cultural, economic or other reasons.

OR

1-800-273-8255 Lifeline

If you're not going to call anyone or go to the ER my advice now would be to stop drinking and go to bed.

You can think about all the other options (some of which I mentioned before) tomorrow.

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ml#post6522711

There's all manner of help and support here SAH- but if the only time you come here is when you're drunk, we can't do much to help you.

If I could do the work and make you sober I would - but it has to be you doing the work, making the changes, and making the different choices.

It really works if you post here regularly when you're sober, as well as when you need help in the times you've been drinking.

What stops you doing that?
