Sigh, day one.

Hi all. Back to day one. I'm bummed but climbing right back on this horse (wagon?). Here's to a sober night. Hugs.

Day 1 is better than day 0. Glad you're back here, MissOverIt. Like Dee said--figure out what you can do differently this time to keep you from taking that first drink when those thoughts hit.

Glad that you are back, MissOverIt.

Do you have a plan?

I'll post links to a few great threads in a moment.

Maybe stop in to the 24 Hour recovery Connection thread to make a daily commitment to sobriety:

Thank you all- you're so awesome. The links are very helpful. I think bottom line is that I need to be involved daily with other alcoholics. Whether it's meetings or here - I have to interact. I haven't been lately and I started to think I could be like normal drinkers. Nope. So I'm adding that to my plan as of now.

Normal drinkers aren't so much normal... they can just take or leave alcohol.

I can't. My persona changes. My metabolism drastically changes. And my body starts craving more. I can't control it. All I can do is call an intervention on myself and go through the hell of withdrawal and detox. No thanks.

I'm just as normal as someone that pours a glass of wine, drinks half, and pours the rest out before bed time. I just leave the wine part out :p
