Help Needed
Hi!
I'm not sure how to get into a chat room!
I'm new at this. Today is my first day!
But I really need someone who understands to talk to.
I don't want to drink!
Please help!
Audrey

Hi Audrey, and welcome to SoberRecovery.
Go To Chat Room Here.
You may have to click on the "register" button.
Glad you're here.
If, once you get in the chatroom, no one is there, please come back to the message boards to read and post if you want.
I read your other post and I relate very much.
Towards the end, vodka and I were inseparable.
I've been stopped now for seven months, and I'm slowly reclaiming my life.
And you can too.
Again, a warm welcome to this community Audrey.

Hi Audrey, I want to welcome you to SR, so happy you've found us.
I'm wishing you all the best on finding your way. I don't want to drink either, and WE don't have to. I'm working hard on finding my way out this mess also. I hear it's the most wonderful way to live, and I know you want the FREEDOM also. You've been blessed finding this gang here, you've already met two of the most awesome teachers I know, you're in real good hands ((((Audrey))))
Love....Denise

Hi!
My name is Audrey. I'll be 50 in March, and I don't want to drink anymore. I have stopped before, but never stayed stopped. It's gotten really bad though. Almost a bottle of Vodka every day. I know it is killing me. I even drink on the job. I feel wretched all the time. I'm sick of the hiding and lying. I just want to stop! It feels good to tell someone my dirty secret about drinking on the job. I feel like such a low-life for doing it. I thought I'd never get so low. Anyway that's only a small piece of my story. I'm glad you're stopped. And I do understand your pain. It's such a lonely, desperate place to be.

I too can relate to your story. I allowed alcohol to take control of my life, for to many years. I'm still cleaning up the mess it resulted in. What a relief to take the power of choice back. Good luck in your recovery. It's hard work, but the results are priceless. I look forward to you sharing your ES&H.

Thanks for the welcome and support!
I just feel so lost and desperate right now.
I'm beat up physically and emotionally.
I really need to do this. I know I can't go on drinking. I know that I will die.
