yes - I am a knitter. I took it up when I first stopped drinking. Used to spent the evenings toiling over complicated lace patterns as a bit of a distraction, and found it was kind f meditative.

used short rows only once, though, and decided "never again"
but i'm reconsidering the "never", as far as the short rows, not the drinking.
