Dancey-singy-drunk people
Hi makeover
one of the unexpected benefits of recovery for me was learning to accept and love who I was.
I spent decades trying to be the life of the party - but that's just not me.
I'm much more at home with a few friends and a low key evening...and I finally accept thats ok.
My relationships are the better for it
and yet...the other thing which really amazed me is...you don't need to drink to have fun, be silly or shoot the breeze with someone.
When you become really comfortable with who you are, you get more comfortable with others...
what other people think of you doesn't matter as much.
I'm just me - sometimes I'll make a new friend... and other times their eyes are darting around for the nearest exit LOL
it's all good
try not to worry too much - things have a way of working out
D
