And a worthy milestone it is, you can't get to a month without getting to a week first.

Well done you! :-)

That first week seemed impossible for many of us and we know exactly how that feels. Well done

I read your follow up from last thread it was inspiring and filled with courage and hope. Those qualities are very important in recovery and especially when finding the path early.

Have you considered going to meetings as you mentioned or have you been? I find the combination of SR and the program to be very engaging and beneficial.

Keep coming back and onward

I actually have seriously thought about meetings.
Most of my friends are drinkers, some more than others, yet going out with them always involved alcohol, whether it was in a bar, or anything. I can't do that right now. I can't be around it like that because I feel too fragile.
I want to meet like minded people who do things that don't involve drinking or hanging at the bar for hours on end.
I think I'll find that in meetings it's also another place of support and if meetings feel right to me, then maybe choose a sponsor down the road.
I will be out of town for the week-end, but have already found a list of AA meetings right in my little town for next week.
