Good day today. Slept in but got everything done I needed to. Very little to no thoughts of drinking. No mood swings. Had to make a drug store run and realize now I didn't even register that I was across the street from the liquor store. Normally if I needed something from the drug store I would hit both because why not. Today it didn't even cross my mind, I was just thinking about getting my crap and getting back home to continue homework. This was good.

Just gonna iron my school scrubs, probably snack, watch tv and go to bed. Maybe I'll read a little of this novel I got on sale. I'll study over the weekend at work. If I could feel the way I do today all weekend, that would be great..

I hope everyone else is having a nice night and weekend so far.

Morning, i'm glad you didn't drink Brenda and I hope everyone else made it through Friday.

This is the canal close to Olympic Park, it looks almost rural here.

Hi, weekenders.

I have bought a new hard drive and now wait for a service center to be opened.

I still dont know how i am going to cope with all the important data lost. Well, one problem at a time.

Though considering my range of current problems, i hard issues with finding time to solve them.

See you later)

Good morning everyone!

Tough week, kitty has been really sick. Thought we were going to have to have him put down yesterday. Turns out he's diabetic. So, doing shots of insulin twice a day now. Still a road ahead of recovery as he's quite sick.

This week has been a true test of how solid the absence of alcohol and cigarettes are in my life. Passing so far. Because I know, neither one of those will fix anything and there are no excuses.

Stay on the bus people, stay on the bus!

Hmm, insulin shots twice a day for a cat? Can't say I've heard of that. That going to be lots of fun when he gets better and starts running from you. :-)

Glad to see you Bix Bees. I have a work commitment this evening too, something I've prepping for months on. I'm a little anxious and just want to get it done and over with.

Many years ago, our neighbor claimed ownership of the fence and didn't want my money. But he was retired. Then eventually agreed we'd go half's but a date was never set. I got tired of this and he finally agreed to let me pay for and build the whole thing. He agreed to take down his old fence but now seems to be procrastinating on that. Only one of six sections has been removed. I saw him the other day and he said ya ya I'll take it down. It's ready to fall over, I was hoping the wind would do it for me.

I have never heard of a diabetic cat but logically I suppose it must happen. Cats have a fast metabolite rate which is why it is twice a day. Poor old chap, I wish him a speedy recovery.

We had a diabetic cat that needed insulin shots. We gave her a piece of cheese after each shot and she got to where she'd jump on the counter when it was time for the next one. Never underestimate the power of cheese!

Running late but on the bus. The towpath pic is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Looking at 90+ and humidity today for us. But any day is a good day to be sober

Good morning, all. I'm off on my little trip. In a city halfway to destination. I can't seem to relax or feel much enjoyment. I don't know what is wrong with me. I'm very tired, I know that.

STDragon, same here...this work thing I have tonight has been in the works for a long time. My contribution tonight will take place after midnight, for several hours, after I get back to hotel from my equally long awaited fun event. I'll try to get a nap in this afternoon before dinner, since I will be up all night.

Hang in here on the bus, everybody! We need the sober company, don't we?

We will be here for you BixBees. I know this is stating the obvious but is such a relief that you are doing this thing sober/hangover free. Good luck.

Sao, thank you. So much. Hangover-free sure is special.

So is shame-free, right? One of my last aha/oh **** realizations was wondering and worrying what EXACTLY did I say in a rare long phone conversation with a friend ...after which I never heard from her again. Still don't know. Oh, I've got a number of self inflicted wounds slowly healing. They serve me still, to clear my head of nonsense AV.

I expect everyone one this thread has had a similar thing happen Bix, I know I have.

Saturday evening is just about here in the UK (6.20pm). I have intermittently been watching the live feed of the Le Mans 24hrs at the Circuit de la Sathre. It is not the same as being there. The Saoutchik flag is being carried by my youngest daughter and one of her friends who have gone in my place. I had a brief phone conversation with her a while back and she seemed to be enjoying it despite not being a fan.

My fence work for today was taking down a section I had built up against the neighbors fence 'cause my dog was picking fights with the dog kitty corner to us. I was worried he'd break thru. So I took it all apart and removed the nails to preserve the wood for future use. Most of the fence boards were respectably nailed up with a few nails per board. But two of them had at lest 15 nails in each. Of course I was drunk when I built it.....

Never drive around in a heavy traffic area you're unfamiliar with while hangry, much less third day sober. *rolls eyes* Ate my steak and fries salad and feeling better now. I need to keep something in my car for such moments.
